Banking 101: An Industry Overview [Virtual]

Produced by the Knowledge Center, expert training from S&P Global Market Intelligence

Get an overview of the U.S. banking industry, including differentiating between community, regional and money center banks. You will get a clear picture of how banks make money, as well as a basic understanding of the key ratios that analysts use to evaluate the health of individual banking companies. We will spend some time reviewing the major industry risk factors, including a few of the current hot button issues in today’s banking climate. This virtual course presents an interactive forum for you to ask questions, just as you would in a physical classroom – and you will have the added benefit of being able to follow-up with the instructor for additional insights after the program concludes.

After completing this seminar, you will be able to:

  • Describe the fundamentals of the banking business model
  • Understand the current banking industry structure
  • Identify and describe major industry risk factors
  • Understand industry size and performance fundamentals that place any bank in context within the sector

Live, online training, such as this, is perfect for busy professionals who don't have the time to attend an offsite training class for a day or more, and comes without the travel and accommodation costs typically associated with training courses. Through our online classroom platform, you'll still have the ability to ask questions and engage with the instructor in real time.

Note: To ensure personalized instruction, multiple attendees may not view this training under a single registration. Each attendee must complete an individual registration to complete this course. For groups of ten or more who would like to attend, please contact us at 888-991-7786 for group pricing.
