Chris is the Reports Director for SNL Metals & Mining, an offering of New York-based S&P Global Market Intelligence, with prime responsibility for the quarterly State of the Market publication. Based in London, Chris is a regular presenter at conferences, and runs training courses, entitled 'Mining Insight', for non-mining professionals.

Chris is a qualified Mining Engineer (with a BSc and PhD from Cardiff University) and has extensive mining experience. The latter includes underground work with Anglo American Corp in South Africa, consultancy with both SRK in Johannesburg and Golder Associates in the UK, and stockbroking with Schroder Securities in London. In addition to South Africa, his mining experience includes work in Botswana, Malaysia and Turkey.

Before joining IntierraRMG (subsequently SNL Metals & Mining), Chris was Editorial Director of Aspermont UK, whose publications include the weekly Mining Journal and monthly Mining Magazine. He was instrumental in launching the Mines & Money series of conferences.
