EMEA Private Equity Market Snapshot Issue 11

Welcome to Issue 11 of the EMEA Private Equity Market Snapshot, our quarterly publication focusing on the Private Equity (PE) market in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

We begin this edition by examining the third quarter of 2016, noting the attractiveness of EMEA-based targets continues to weaken in the eyes of foreign private equity buyers, with the UK faring the worst, while the Emerging Markets bucked this trend. We also take a look at the Brexit effect on the slowdown of activity.

A visit to the UK Mid-Markets reveals this bread-and-butter segment to be as unpredictable as the EU referendum result.

In the third piece we deep dive into Consumer Products and find it to be going through a tumultuous time.

Our final piece looks at the UK Billion Dollar Funds and finds it short of investments and not investors.
